Hello, Happy late Fathers Day to all of the dads out there! This past race in Cheshire, MA marks the half way point for the 2021 J Day season. It is also the last race before a month long break. The temperatures were a little lower than NY but not by much. The dry conditions and quite a few silty sections made for some extremely dusty and unpredictable lines. Team Riders: Jon Gagnon - A Vet - #105 - Due to an illness, Jon was not able to race. Jared Drouin - B Vet - #333 - Jared had quite the weekend. His alternator failed in his truck as he was pulling into the pits. He raced his first moto and battled inside the top 10 the entire race. Between motos, he borrowed a truck, went to get a new alternator, changed it, and lined up for a second moto a little late but he still made it. And again he had an awesome race and battled inside the top 10 the whole 30 minutes. Jared finished 6-8 for 6th overall. Kyle Sackett - C Vet - #253 - My first moto I was riding very tight and I didn't find much of a flow until the last couple laps. The second moto was completely different. I got a great start (3rd through the first corner on a 125 in an open class), then the rider in second place went down right in front of me and I jumped over his bike and clear into the woods off the track. That cost me a couple positions but I stayed upright and stayed moving. Then a handful of corners later, a rider tried to make an inside pass and his front tire sunk into the deep silt. His very quickly spinning rear tire came up and destroyed my left hand shroud, radiator louver and the radiator itself. I lost a lot of positions this time. I couldn't smell coolant, yet, or see a leak, yet, so I kept going and was able to get my best moto finish so far. I went 21-15 for 16th overall. Support Riders: Nate Marr - A 200 - #84 - Nate had an awesome race. He continues to improve each round. He finished 4-6 for 5th overall. Colton McQuarrie - Mini B - #34 - Colton is making it look easy and he's keeping his win streak alive. It's another 1-1 for 1st overall for Colton. Cory Desrochers - C Vet - #556 - Despite going over the handlebars and having his bike land in a tree...yes, IN a tree. Cory still managed to push hard and finish 7-5 for 4th overall. Thanks for reading.
