2023 - P27 Round 7

Hello,

This past Sunday, was round 7 of the 2023 P27 Offroad Series. It was held at The Sandbox in Rumney, NH. The weather changed from being cold and rainy all week to hot and dusty for race day. The track shaped up really nicely and made for some great racing.

Team Riders:

Nate Marr #84 – A Open – Nate had a rough start and went down in the first turn while dodging another rider who had crashed. Marr got up and started clicking off quick and consistent lap times to move up through the field. Nate finished 4th.

Jon Gagnon #105 – A Vet – Jon proved that he is still good off the line and got a great start. Once the race was underway, Jon found himself battling in the 4th and 5th positions for the next hour. He finished in 5th.

Kyle Sackett #253 – C Vet – I haven’t done a woods race since last October and I have never done a race that is an hour long. Surprisingly, I got a decent start but had trouble finding a good flow during the opening lap. I took a few deep breaths, regrouped, and figured out the track a little bit. I was making a charge forward and had picked off a handful of riders until I made a bad line choice and got stuck in the mud. It probably only took under a minute to get the bike out but it felt like an eternity and I lost a lot of the spots I had just gained. I kept pushing and made smarter line choices and ended up finishing 5th.
